Craft Consortium bauble card

Good Morning Crafters

Today I am sharing another quick last minute Christmas card this time using the Craft Consortium Winter Woodland paper pad.

All the papers are from the pad and I have simply die cut three sizes of holes in white cardstock and adhered the papers behind them, mounted to on another sheet from the pad, added string using a ZIG Millenium pen and finished with a gem from my stash.  The sentiment is from the Woodware Snowflake Flower set and is stamped in Watering Can Archival Ink.

Merry & Bright Holly

Good Afternoon Crafters!

Today I'm sharing a quick and simply Christmas card using the Yew & Holly and Snowflake Flower Woodware stamps.

I have water-coloured the Yew & Holly image with Tim Holtz Distress Markers, as the card base is not watercolour cardstock I have stamped the Yew & Holly on watercolour cardstock, fussy cut it and adhered it to the base.  The sentiment is from the Snowflake Flower. Using the Press to Impress board you can easily create this style of background with many of your stamps.  I have used Archival Ink in Watering Can and for the sentiment, Archival Ink in Red Geranium.

Woodland Wonder - Hedgehog

Good Morning Crafters

Today's make uses the other half of the distress oxides background using Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet  from the mixed media time card I shared last week.

I have used a topper from the Hunkydory Little Book of Woodland Wonder and the words are from Being Positive Woodware stamp set.

Christmas Blessings Bauble

Good Morning Crafters

You may remember that last week I purchased the Katy Sue Designs Holly and Mistletoe mould and was struck by an idea.  I'm pleased to say it worked and I can share it with you today.

I have used an inexpensive bauble from the supermarket. The holly and berries are made from Hearty white paper clay and coloured using acrylic paints.  The sentiment is from John Next Door Winter Trees stamp set which I have gone over with a Zig Millenium Pen to make it permanent.

New Year New Workshops

Good Morning Crafters

We have several new workshops and demos lined up for the new year.  I know we are still pre-christmas but our classes and workshops can fill up quickly and we don't want you to miss out!

Dot Clark's free demo day on the 12th January could be just the way to re-start your crafting and revitalise your creative mojo.  Dot will be in the shop all day demonstrating her expertise in making miniature art, ATCs and Tags using distress oxides, ink, embossing powders and Woodware stamps.

If you're a crafting newbie then I would recommend Chris Stevens' workshop on the 13th January.  Chris will be introducing you to stamping, matting and layering and other techniques to help you create finished projects and cards for all occasions.

Another great workshop for crafting newbies or for those who would like to expand they knowledge is the stencil workshop being run by Margaret Brackenbury on January 27th.  Margaret will share several techniques using stencils including those from our new supplier, Artistic Flair.

If you are a more experienced crafter or feel like branching out into new territory then Margaret's other January  workshop could be for you. Decorating glass with rice papers, decoupage and stenciling is being held on 20 January.

Don't forget to book your place on the John Lockwood (Feb) and Kay Carley (Mar) workshops, these are filling up fast!

Keep on Crafting.

Off-roading

Good Morning Crafters

My card today is made with another of the backgrounds made at Saturday's workshop.  I used Walnut Stain and Peeled Paint Distress Oxides, various stencils and black Izink 3D paste.

To make the cogs I have used the Katy Sue Designs wheels and cogs mould and white Hearty paper clay. I painted the cogs with black gesso and added Walnut Stain Distress Oxide (it has not photographed very well but you can see it on the one to the left of the postcard).

The postcard is from my stash and the card will be for my brother-in-law who is a Land Rover and off-roading enthusiast.
