Using Foils and Distress Oxides

Good Morning Crafters

On Saturday I attented the Distress Oxides Follow-Up workshop.  We made quite a few backgrounds and learnt new techniques.  One reason I love the Distress Oxides is because they show up on black cardstock.

For this card I used Broken China, Worn Lipstick and Cracked Pistachio and used both the swooshing and dabbing technique (all very technical terms haha) to create this background.

As I had stamped the flowers a little way up from the bottom of the card I extended the stems with a White gelly roll pen, I've also used this to highlight bits of the background.

The sentiment is from my favouite Paperartsy stamp set (ZA08) and embossed with Wow Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder.

I have added foil highlights around the flowers using Stix2Anything glue pen and foil.    To finish I rounded the corners with a corner punch.

Keep on Crafting.

  1. Brilliant card and different techniques on the background love the foil edges to the flowers-and the white embossed image-keep meaning to have a try with white embossing
