Reuse, Recycle #3 - Papers

Good Morning Crafters

Thank you for popping along to the next installment in my reuse and recycle series.  This time I have created two festive tags using a few different papers.

I cut the snowman parts from the pages of a damaged book and manuscript using Creative Expressions Lisa Horton Stitched Collection Snowman dies.

The top hat, eyes, buttons & brush are cut from the back cover of the book, the mittens, scarves, hat and hat trim are cut from an off cut of gift wrapping paper, and the twig arms and carrot noses are cut from an egg box, which provides a good texture.  I have used a cocktail stick coloured with Kuretake Clean Color Real Brush Dark Brown pen.

I coloured the arms with Kuretake Clean Colour Real Brush Dark Oatmeal and the bodies with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I added a bobble to the hat using Fluffy Stuff.

The tag is made from kraft card embossed with a folder from my stash and stamped with the sentiments from the Woodware Patch Reindeer and Sparkly Trees stamp sets using Vintage Photo Distress Oxide.  The tag is finished off with a scrap of string.

These are great tags for batch making as they take very little time to put together and save you some pennies by using everyday household materials.

Back tomorrow with another creative project, Keep on Crafting.
